mysore

weekdays 6-10am The shala is open to students as early as 5:30am. Please begin your practice by 9:15am. The Mysore method of teaching is the traditional method for learning the Ashtanga yoga practice as taught in Mysore, India. Each student is taught the Ashtanga Series one-on-one by a highly-trained teacher in a group setting. Modifications and assists are offered. The student builds a solid self-practice.

weekdays 7-8amYou will work one-on-one with a teacher to learn the Ashtanga Yoga or Black Lotus Yoga sequence. Your practice will take about 45 minutes.

new-to-black lotus

weekdays 8-9amYou will work one-on-one with a teacher to learn the Black Lotus Yoga sequence. Your practice will take about 45 minutes. Great for athletes, hurt knees or back, and those who love a flowing, sweaty practice.

intro to ashtanga

saturdays 10:30-11:30am If you haven’t tried Ashtanga Yoga before, this class will give you the chance to check out our method. A regular class with a teacher up front teaching the group. Very accessible.

led primary series

sundays 9-10:30am A traditional led class that follows the Sanskrit count. This is a challenging practice and is meant to be experienced after studying in the Mysore setting. In-person and online.

led half-primary

sundays 4:15-5:15pm For students who are working towards or up to navasana in Primary Series. This is a counted practice and teaches you to move on the breath. In-Person and Online.

pranayama/meditation

saturdays 8-9am We will practice traditional pranayama followed by a guided meditation. In-Person and Online.

chanting/philosophy

sundays 8-9am Chant the Yoga Sutras and explore their meaning. Learn Shanti Mantras and well as other devotional chants. Includes topical discussion. In-Person and Online.

black lotus vinyasa

saturdays 9-10:15am.Ty Landrum has created a beautiful new system of vinyasa yoga that we will practice in this class. No experience necessary. This is a good practice for athletic students, knee injuries, or people who like a vigorous practice.

neural flow yoga with leticia padmasri

tuesdays 11:30am-12:30pm.$12 Pay teacher directly after class. In this class, we'll unlock a profound understanding of our bodies, refining the communication between our brain and our musculoskeletal system. Each session dives deep into either a specific body part or a Yoga posture. By enhancing this vital brain-body dialogue, you'll gain greater strength, mobility, balance, and coordination, experiencing increased ease and confidence in everyday movement.

classical hatha yoga with leticia padmasri

thursdays 11:30am-12:30pm $12 Pay teacher directly after class. In this class, we will immerse ourselves in the authentic heart of Hatha Yoga – a soulful and complete practice infused with timeless Ayurveda principles and Yoga philosophy. Includes Yoga asanas, Yoga nidra, pranayama, and meditation, guiding you toward profound stillness and inner harmony. It invites those with some yoga experience to explore beyond the physical, deepening their awareness and unlocking a richer sense of embodied wisdom and conscious evolution.

easy does it with marla cantor

yin yoga with marla cantor

first sundays 5:30-6:45pm Yin yoga are yoga postures that are held for an extended time. All postures are done seated or reclining targeting the deep tissues of the body. prenatal yoga with sara zia

sundays 10:45am-12:15pm Meets at 2409 Ivy Road. Pregnancy and new parenthood is a time full of physical, emotional and spiritual growth. This yoga practice is designed to bring people in the childbearing year into community with other mothers and into connection with their birthing bodies and their babies. Prenatal yoga alleviates common pregnancy discomforts, promotes relaxation and helps to prepare the body, mind and spirit for childbirth. Though this class is designed for expectant mothers, we welcome new moms and their babies 6 weeks postpartum. $12 per class, 10-Class Card for $100.

mama-baby postpartum yoga with sara zia

sundays 12:30pm - 1:45pm Meets at 2409 Ivy Road. A class that you can share with your young baby. $12 per class, 10-Class Card for $100.

private yoga w/Carroll Ann OR Liam

mysore apprenticeship

If you have studied with us regularly for 6 months and have received a 200HR Yoga Teacher Training from the Ivy Yoga School or another classical yoga school, you may be interested in our Apprentice Program. This continuing education will teach you to assist the main teacher in a Mysore class. The 3-month course will mentor you in giving hands-on assists to students and teach you how to modify poses for students as appropriate. Regular participation in our Mysore Program + one class per week assisting in the Mysore room is required for the course. Please contact Carroll Ann to apply.
