Looking for a fun way to connect and stay grounded during the holidays? Join Bridget Baylin, Ayurvedic Health Counselor Intern, for these fun, hands-on and interactive group classes. Learn how to bring the ancient teachings of Ayurveda into your life. Ayurveda is the oldest system of medicine in the world, the sister science to Yoga, and addresses healing at the root.
Medical Yoga and Integrative Yoga involves employing a variety of yogic practices to help improve a health condition. Even when the disease itself cannot be cured, yoga as medicine can benefit the person with the disease in numerous ways. Among the yogic tools used therapeutically are asana (physical postures), pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation (including mindfulness and guided imagery). These yogic practices and other holistic, integrative medicine treatments can provide many benefits to children, adolescents and adults, especially those with ongoing health problems.

Yin Yoga focuses on working deeper tissues – ligaments, joints, deep fascial tissues, and bones. Poses are similar to other styles of yoga but the approach is different. All poses are done seated or lying down. Yin is unique because we relax the muscles and use gravity to come to our edge.
