“ Now the Practice of Yoga begins- atha yoga anusasanam ” YS 1:1
The Ivy Yoga School (IYS) Program is in the Krishnamacharya Lineage: We draw on the traditions of Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Therapeutic Yoga.
Krishnamacharya was an Indian yoga teacher, a scholar and an ayurvedic healer. He is often referred to as the "Father of Modern Yoga".
Jennifer and Carroll Ann bring 50+ years of practice and study to The Ivy Yoga Teacher Training and In-Depth Study Program.
The goal of this mini anatomy course is to "uncomplicate" anatomy as we apply it to yoga asanas, making the study of our body easy and practical.

Yin Yoga focuses on working deeper tissues – ligaments, joints, deep fascial tissues, and bones. Poses are similar to other styles of yoga but the approach is different. All poses are done seated or lying down. Yin is unique because we relax the muscles and use gravity to come to our edge.
