Jennifer Elliott, (Authorized Level 2) is the senior teacher and director of AYC. She has been a dedicated student of yoga for more than 30 years and teaching for more than 20. She was blessed to have found her first yoga teacher, Richard Freeman, when she was an undergraduate student at University of Colorado. (1981). Since her first introduction to yoga with Richard, she has studied with many other gifted and acclaimed teachers. 

Jennifer’s dedication and devotion to Ashtanga Yoga is evident in the clarity of her teaching. Jennifer’s primary intentions are to maintain the purity and integrity of Ashtanga Yoga as taught to her by Shri K Pattabhi Jois and Sharath, at the same time to maintain the accessibility of the yoga experience to all levels of practitioners. Jennifer received authorization level 2 from Sharath Jois and is honored to carry on the lineage of teaching traditional ashtanga yoga practice in the Mysore setting.

 BRIDGET BRAYLIN

BRIDGET BRAYLIN

Bridget discovered yoga in 1998 and has been practicing Ashtanga Yoga since 2001.  Bridget loves studying other methods of yoga as well, and getting creative with her approach to teaching depending on the preferences and needs of her students.  She is now focusing her training on Ayurveda and integrated wellness, and incorporates what she knows about promoting balance in mind and body into her yoga lessons.  Bridget’s class focuses on building strength, alignment and breath control so that her students can explore the physical, emotional and spiritual gifts of yoga.

CARROLL ANN FRIEDMAN

Carroll Ann has practiced yoga since 2001 and has over 1000 hours of teacher training.  Since 2013, she has studied for 3-5 months a year at the KPJAYI under R. Saraswathi Jois, Sri Pattabhi Jois’s daughter.  Saraswathi completed Advanced B (4th series), was certified by Sri Krishnamacharya, assisted her father beginning in her 20s and has taught her own students for 47 years.  In the winter of 2016, Carroll Ann spent 2 months and over 200 hours assisting Saraswathi in her shala.  carrollann.friedmann@gmail.com 434-242-2669
